Tea ("Tea", "we", "us") is a social media management tool operated by Ever After Books Ltd (Dalton-in-Furness, United Kingdom). It is part of The Town Gossip family of products. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions: lia@everafterbooks.uk.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and authentication identifier when you sign up or sign in (including via Google).
• Content you create: the posts, captions, media URLs, tags, schedules and listening keywords you enter into Tea.
• Connected social accounts: when you connect a social network (for example Facebook or Instagram), we receive and securely store the access tokens that platform issues, plus basic profile/page details (such as page name and id) needed to publish on your behalf.
• Usage data: minimal technical data needed to operate the service.

How we use it

• To publish, schedule and manage the social media posts you ask us to.
• To show your content calendar, drafts, analytics and any engagement we retrieve from your connected accounts.
• To operate your account, billing and plan.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your content or connected-account data for advertising.

Social platform data

When you connect an account, Tea acts on your behalf using that platform's official API (for example the Meta Graph API for Facebook and Instagram). Access tokens are stored encrypted on our servers and are never exposed in your browser. We only request the permissions needed to publish content and read engagement on the accounts you connect. You can disconnect an account at any time from Tea's Accounts page, which removes our stored tokens for it.

Sharing

We share data only with: the social platforms you connect (to publish on your behalf), our infrastructure providers (Google Firebase/Cloud for hosting and database, and our payment processor for billing). These providers process data under their own terms and only as needed to run Tea.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your content in-app at any time, and you can request full deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing lia@everafterbooks.uk; we will remove it within 30 days. Disconnecting a social account immediately deletes the stored tokens for it.

Your rights

Under UK/EU data protection law you may access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict its processing. Contact us at lia@everafterbooks.uk to exercise these rights.

Children

Tea is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
